Willamette Writers offers a variety of opportunities for volunteers, including our annual conference.

Volunteers at the conference help at registration, be room monitors for workshops, or help in the consult area. Conference volunteers must be members of Willamette Writers and pay $27 a day to cover registration fees for each day they are attending the conference. Conference volunteers typically work half a day and have half a day to attend the conference, although volunteers can also work a full day and have a 2nd day to attend the conference. Email the WW office if you'd like to be placed on a list to be a conference volunteer.

Conference volunteers do not register for the conference until mid to late June, 2010. We understand that limits choices for pitching, but people pay to attend the conference to meet agents. If we allowed agents to be fully booked by people not paying to attend (we can't pay our bills with volunteer hours), the result would probably be volunteers not being allowed to sign up for pitches until the conference began. So that's the tradeoff. We understand if you won't be a volunteer under these circumstances.
